Big Anthonys

A rural cottage located centrally between Omagh and Cookstown. Situated at the foot of the Sperrin mountains. It’s in an area of outstanding beauty with lots of local attractions including the Gortin glens, Beckmore stone circle and the Ulster American folk park.

The cottage is detached with lots of outdoor space. There are beautiful views of the countryside. The house is spacious, with 3 bedrooms and a large family bathroom and a fully exuipt kitchen. Washer dryer facilities are available.

Redory House

Redory House is a 4* luxury self catering guest house located in the picturesque village of Gortin. Gortin is located at the foot of the Sperrin Mountains. It is a spacious detached dwelling which sleeps up to 11 people.

Gortin is a tourist village which includes grocery shops, restaurant, coffee shop with delicious homemade food, pubs and activity centre including children’s play park and all weather pitch. Redory house is in a prime position and within walking distance to all these amenities.

Local tourist attractions include: Gortin lakes with various water activities. Gortin Glen forest park which has plentiful attraction’s such as newly refurbished childrens play area, beautiful walks, bike paths, bbq and picnic areas and eating establishment. Glenpark Estate is a unique facility which includes restaurant, indoor play area, farm shop, rare breed animals, walks and other fun activities. This is only a 3mile drive from Redory House. Other places of interest which are within driving distance include: Ulster American Folk Park, Davagh Forest, An Creggan Centre, Beaghmore Stone Circles and Newtownstewart Golf Club. Also Gortin rivers are a popular area for salmon and sea trout fishing.

Nearest town in Omagh which is approximately 9miles by car. Omagh is a thriving large market town which a range of facilities such as shops, pubs, nightclubs, restaurants, leisure centre, golf club, cinemas and other kid friendly attractions.. Ulsterbus have frequent bus runs to Gortin please visit Ulsterbus website for full timetable. Redory house is located beside the bus stop.

The Clock Tower & Govenor’s Lodge at Baronscourt Estate

Driving West over the scenic Sperrins of County Tyrone, you arrive at the beautiful Baronscourt Estate. Both holiday cottages are within the historical grounds of Baronscourt and have been beautifully converted and refurbished within the original Stable Yard set within its enchanting rural surroundings.

The Clock Tower, aptly named, is beautifully presented within the original Stable Yard dating back to 1819. This charming building has been refurbished and can comfortably accommodate up to four people.

Accommodation
The ground floor is extremely spacious, open-plan, and has a fully equipped kitchen/dining area, with magnificent views over the parkland and the Stable Yard. On the first floor is the main living room with a wood burning stove, a lovely cosy place to come back to after a day’s fishing or shooting. This also has beautiful views over the un-spoilt parkland where the lawn in front can be used for sitting outdoors or overlooking the courtyard. The two twin bedrooms are situated either side of the living area, one with an en-suite bathroom, the second with a shower room and WC.

The Governor’s Lodge, so-called from the time it was used by the Governor’s Guard is situated to the left of the Clock Tower and dates from the same period. This delightful building is also a self catered and can easily accommodate up to four people. It has been refurbished and has a wonderful refreshing but cosy feel to it.

The ground floor has a spacious dining room with a wood burning stove, giving a lovely atmosphere and warmth. A modern, compact, and a fully equipped kitchen leads off the dining room. The living room has a lovely country feel about it and has an open fire, with magnificent views over the un-spoilt parkland and a lawn at the front,, a great place to relax after a busy day. On the first floor there are two twin bedrooms, one with an adjoining bathroom, the second with an en-suite shower room.

Pat Larry’s Self Catering Cottage

Pat Larry’s is a traditional family homestead nestled in the Owenkillew River Valley with stunning panoramic views of the Sperrin Mountains and rustic Tyrone countryside.

This family owned cottage, part of a small working farm for over 200 years has been recently renovated and tastefully transformed into a self-catering cottage with a wealth of modern amenities.

Pat Larry’s Cottage is an ideal base for anyone hoping to visit the village of Greencastle, the hamlet of Glenhull, the Ogham Stone in Aughascribba or the nearby Broughderg area.

This cottage is located in the foothills of the Sperrin Mountains – known for their untouched natural beauty, their history, folklore and archaeological treasures.

Weekly rates vary from £420 to £450 per week subject to time of the year. Shorter stays are possible subject to availability from £50 per night. This includes a welcome pack, electricity, heating, linen, towels, WiFi, day to day farm activities, and one bag of turf for the solid fuel stove.

Mr McGregor’s Cottage

A charming cosy tastefully renovated farm cottage. The cottage was the rabbit catcher’s cottage for Beltrim Castle, like Mr McGregor his job was to ensure rabbits stayed away from the vegetable garden. With the Owenkillew river running next to the cottage at Trinamadam bridge, the cottage offers a delightful get away from it all holiday yet perfectly convenient to explore all of Ulster and in easy walking distance of Gortin village offering shops, restaurants, pubs and music venues. Pet friendly, stabling for horses and salmon fishing available by prior arrangement.

Killyliss Lodge

Hawthorn Cottage

Hawthorn Cottage is a pretty cottage nestled in the foothills of the Sperrin Mountains. The cottage is situated on the edge of the small village of Greencastle, a short stroll from the nearby supermarket and pub (3-4 minutes). It has recently been renovated and has every modern amenity you would hope for. A haven ‘away from it all’, Hawthorn Cottage is still only a short drive from historic sites and local attractions. We are only a day trip from The Giants Causeway and North Antrim coast, the historic city of Derry, The Lakes of Fermanagh, the vibrant city of Belfast with its newly opened Titanic Quarter and County Donegal with its unspoilt beaches, bays, headlands and rugged landscape. The local archaeological sites include the Aughascribba ancient Ogham Standing Stone which is within walking distance. The scenic surrounding countryside provides plenty of opportunity for those who enjoy walking or cycling or simply want to take in the natural beauty of the area.

Hawthorn Cottage is cosy and warm. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and wash stand. The second bedroom contains one single bed and a ‘day bed’ which can be extended to form a double bed. The sitting room has a double sofa-bed and an open fire, TV-DVD player and plenty of books and games.

The kitchen has a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, large cooker and family dining table. The utility room has a washing machine, dryer, microwave and ironing facilities. The bathroom is spacious and has a roll-top bath, heated towel rail and a separate power-shower. There is a garden to the rear containing garden furniture and fruit trees.

If you like eggs for breakfast, our friendly hens are only too happy to provide – but watch out for the rooster!

Gortin Central

This comfortable 4 bedroomed house can accommodate 8 people. There is a downstairs shower room and an upstairs bathroom. A cot and high chair can be provided. The open plan kitchen and dining area is perfect for socialising. The sitting room has the cosy addition of a wood burning stove.

Bed linen and towels provided (extra towels can be provided upon request). Guests have full access to the washing machine and tumble dryer facilities.

This village house is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The Ulster American folk park is seven miles away and well worth a visit. There is a forest park nearby to explore and a golf course only six miles away. It is a quiet village but there are several pubs and two restaurants to enjoy.

Alice’s Cottage

Alice’s Cottage is located just outside the village of Mountfield, which is 6 miles (10min) from the market town of Omagh.

The cottage was built in the 1950’s and has recently been tastefully modernised and decorated while retaining its original character.

The cottage is situated on an elevated site which affords visitors spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The cottage sits in mature gated grounds adjacent to farmland which is used for grazing. As the cottage is south facing it basks in sunshine all day on a sunny day.

The cottage has a living room with open fire, kitchen dining area with patio doors opening on to a small courtyard (ideal for barbecue). The master bedroom has a double bed or twin beds, whichever is required and an en-suite. The second bedroom is a double and the third a single. The bathroom is located beside these rooms. The cottage has free Wi-Fi.

A pet enclosure is provided.

The village of Mountfield is within walking distance. It has a small supermarket, two pubs a takeaway food outlet and two churches. A number of other amenities and attraction are located in the greater Omagh area.

An teach ban is a modern, ground floor apartment offering comfort and privacy, beautiful river and mountain views, ideal to relax and unwind. It sleeps five, consists of two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and sunlounge / living room leading out to patio. There is an all-the-year round BBQ hut, which can seat 12 people so you can enjoy your bbq whatever the weather! As it is a ground floor apartment all on one level it is suited to those visitors with limited access mobility.

Being on an elevated site there is beautiful scenery of the surrounding countryside. It is situated approximately 14 miles from Omagh and Cookstown, and 2.5 miles from An Creagan Visitor Centre. There is the local Costcutter shop, Post Office and pub within 1 mile.

It is a secure child-friendly location with a slide, swings and climbing frame.

There is an equestrian centre nearby.

An Creagán – Copney Cottage

The cottage is designed in a traditional fashion with half door and has a number of features similar to the old cottages of the area, it is situated in a small clachan (group of stone buildings) with 3 other cottages. The cottage name, Copney, is taken from a local town land name meaning, “The place where the dock weed grows”

The ground floor kitchen/living/dining area is fitted with a small kitchen with electric cooker and grill, microwave oven and all necessary cooking and dining equipment. The room has a pine table and chairs by the patio doors that open to a baroque area, There is a two seater recessed seat by the fire suitable to sleep one person and two arm chairs, the area is also fitted with a pellet burning stove room heater. There are two ground floor bedrooms, one room with double bedroom and one room with double and single bed. The loft room which is over looking the living area has a single bed and space for camp-bed, all rooms are fitted with pine furniture. The bathroom has a full size bath with power shower over.

The cottage has an oil fired central heating system and a solar panel to assist with heating domestic water. The cottage is in the grounds of An Creagán with a wide range of activities and events for all the family.

Each Cottage has parking facilities and Barbeque, there is a small lawn at the back of each cottage (non-fenced).
