Step into the rich world of peatlands, bogs and wetlands through this unique Introduction to Storytelling course, featuring four immersive 3-hour sessions for a small group of up to 15 participants. Delivered by Liz Weir and Stephen O’Hara, the programme blends oral storytelling skills with folklore, mythology and ecological heritage, exploring how these mysterious landscapes have inspired legends, memories and cultural traditions across Ireland and beyond. From tales of wandering spirits and hidden paths to stories rooted in ancient communities and the deep connection between people and place, participants will discover how local landscapes can become powerful sources of creative inspiration. Whether you are new to storytelling or looking to deepen your connection with folklore and nature, this course offers a rare opportunity to develop your voice while uncovering the stories that live within the land itself.
