The cultural identity of the area is encapsulated in the many musical and literary events held throughout the year highlights include a three-day annual Appalachian & Bluegrass Music Festival hosted at The Ulster American Folk Park. Featuring some of the biggest names in bluegrass from Ireland, the USA and Canada, it’s the largest bluegrass festival outside of North America. Strule Arts Centre, a state-of-the-art multi-purpose venue hosts an extensive and dynamic year-round events calendar. Venues across Omagh and The Sperrins host regular live entertainment starring some of Ireland’s biggest country artistes; comedy acts, tribute bands, traditional Irish music and local talent.  The annual Sperrin and Killeter Walking Festival, is the perfect way to discover Omagh and The Sperrins natural beauty walkers can expect undulating hills covered in heather, quiet valleys, boggy uplands and a land teeming with wildlife.
