Day One

Put on those walking boots and explore Churches Street Omagh and explore the fascinating religious heritage of Omagh, a town steeped in history and tradition. Venture along to visit Trinity Presbyterian Church, James Street, Omagh, St Columba’s Church of Ireland, onwards to Sacred Heart Church and finished at Omagh Methodist Church. A truly inter-faith walk.
Afternoon
In the afternoon explore the Sperrin Giant – Darach. Embark upon the Sperrin Sculpture Trail which is steeped in legend and history of the unique Sperrin mountain range. Together, the trio form the Sperrin Sculpture Trail, a new art installation created by world acclaimed artist, Thomas Dambo, to showcase the geology, archaeology and heritage of the Sperrins. The giants represents the past, present and future.

Make your way to Omagh town that evening and enjoy the sumptuous treats and welcome that will await you in Bogans Bar. This hidden gem boasts a fantastic menu for all ages and dietary needs located right in the heart of Omagh town
Day Two
Morning
Start the day off and explore the rugged beauty of the Beaghmore Stone Circles, Nestled amongst the green grass and heather clad moorland sit 7 mystical circles, 10 rows of stones and 12 cairns, carefully arranged. Look closely at some of the stones and what may seem as ancient chisel marks bear a resemblance to our oldest known Celtic writing. Ogham, a secret and sacred writing, was a system of symbols used for magic and divination. The circles and alignments, however, remain a mystery. No-one really knows why this intriguing cluster of stones was created.
The stones speak of ancient rituals and to a people who understood astronomy. When you visit this ancient site look up in wonder at the sky and reflect, that the people that built these monuments observed the same sky, sun, moon and stars.
Afternoon
Come along to the the Abingdon Collection in the afternoon for a fascinating private collection showcasing over 3,000 WWII artefacts, alongside rare items from the First World War. Join along with Philip who takes you on a powerful journey through 20th-century history, honouring the sacrifices of those who served.
Explore the collection which also features vintage memorabilia including die-cast model cars, jukeboxes, radios, and automobilia from the 1950s–70s.
