Come along to The Teddy Bears Picnic at Grange Park, Omagh

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council supported by Apex, Arbour and Radius Housing Associations through the Housing for all Shared Housing Programme, is hosting a children’s ‘Teddy Bears Picnic’ in Grange Park, Omagh on Saturday 27 July 2024 from 1pm – 4pm.

You can look forward to hearing  Jimmy Kennedy’s iconic Teddy Bears Picnic song and more classics performed by the fabulous St Eugene’s Brass and Reed Band and Tom Sweeney’s ‘Tots and Teddy’ singalong for everyone to join in; Omagh Leisure Complex Summer Camp Coaches will be there with fun activities and games to play, Storytelling with Libraries NI; Games and Rhyme Time with LAST Sure Start; Grange Park  Tree Trail  FODC Biodiversity and Climate Change Team; a Teddy Bear Trail; PCSP information and Freebies, characters, face painting, Ice cream and more.

Grange Park is the ideal location for the picnic as Love Parks week commences on 24 July and runs to 2 August 2024.  This is a week to celebrate parks, green spaces and the dedicated volunteers and workers who look after them all year round.  These vibrant, living spaces bring communities together and provide an opportunity to connect with nature in the heart of our towns and neighbourhoods.

Visitors to the event are encouraged to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of Grange Park with the rich biodiversity, wildflower meadow, walkways and open spaces as well as the wonderful Destination Play Park.

Make sure you bring along your Teddy and Picnic as “Today’s the day the teddy bears have their picnic”.

There are a number of blue badge parking spaces available at the Grange Park Car Park and accessible toilets are now onsite.
