Events

There are a huge range of events to choose from in Omagh & the Sperrins Region to suit every interest; with Live Country Music in the Silverbirch Hotel and the Mellon Country Inn to walking festivals in the gorgeous Gortin Glens! See below for an array of events happening NOW!

The Ulster American Folk Parks Easter, Christmas, Fourth of July and Halloween as well as a three-day annual Appalachian & Bluegrass Music Festival are very popular events to keep in mind. Featuring some of the biggest names in bluegrass from Ireland, the USA and Canada, it’s the largest bluegrass festival outside of North America.

Other annual events in Omagh & The Sperrins Region include the Omagh Literary Festival, honouring Benedict Kiely, Omagh Show, St. Patricks Day Parade, Grange Fest, Summer Carnival, Halloween and Christmas events.

Strule Arts Centre is a state-of-the-art multi-purpose venue for theatre, music, dance and the visual arts; their extensive and dynamic events calendar year-round, and programmes first-class touring theatre, music, comedy, dance and children’s shows.
